Conduct Your eBusiness in Comfort!
There has been a lot of talk online recently about how much time some of us actually spend building our online businesses. To be sure it’s time-consuming. You may have wondered how we stay flexible when we’re glued to our laptops (or PCs for those of us who aren’t out of the Stone Age yet)? Wanna know?
Well, it’s like this. Or at least it is for me. A couple of years back, I decided that I’d get my husband a really, really nice gift for our wedding anniversary. I set off on a shopping expedition to find a recliner. Not just any recliner either. It had to be big–the bigger the better. It had to be leather, and it had to match my colors, which are beige and green. But, even if it was all these things and more, it wouldn’t be good enough if it wasn’t the most comfortable recliner you’d find anywhere.
After hours of searching, with protesting family members in tow, I finally found the perfect thing. So I paid for it (almost $1,000.00), and arranged for it to be delivered to my home at a time when I knew husband wouldn’t be home.
When he came home, I led him into the room with his eyes covered in the best gift-giving tradition. He was impressed I could tell. So we positioned the recliner perfectly for TV viewing, which is what he does while I’m working, on the rare occasions when he’s home.
And that was it. The ‘Grand Gift’ fizzled out. Sadly, husband prefers to lounge on the sofa. What an anti-climax.
But I spotted an opportunity. Quick as a flash, I leapt into the abandoned recliner, clutching my trusty laptop. Said recliner and I have hardly been parted since (except when I travel, or am forced to answer the call of nature or some other inconvenience).
The moral of the story? If your spouse buys you a recliner, and he or she is a laptop-owner who does business onine, whatever you do, don’t vacate your recliner or it could be war!
