For years many of us have been battling it out online trying to play all the roles in our small businesses. The trouble is this means most of us have little or no spare time for ourselves, and it becomes practically impossible to get anywhere no matter how brilliant we are. It’s like a juggler trying to keep 100 balls in the air
Now, many successful online business experts are sharing that the key to their success was admitting the fact that they couldn’t do it all, and taking on a list of experts to help them with specific aspects of the business they were trying to build.

If this concept interests you, and it should no matter how good you are, read Eben Pagan on the subject. Many other online marketers recommend outsourcing part of your business operation one way or another: Russel Brunson is just one of them.

You’ll see there’s no affiliate code on these links: I’m just passing them on because I think they’re really good business tips for you all–stuff that I found interesting and helpful.

The attitude is ‘if you can do the job, who cares where you are.’ And this is precisely as it should be. Instead of noticing the gap and trying to do something about it, the UK seems to be falling even further behind with draconian laws like these: UK Online Marketing Blog

No matter what kind of online business you’re engaged in, you should be thinking about Joint Ventures. This is where you team up with another online business to make a powerful business team for a specific short or long-term purpose.

For example, many JV partners team up for the specific purpose of . . .

. . . selling a product more effectively. It’s usually done via opt-in lists. So if you’re the one who’s selling a product or service, you’ll team up with one or more list owners who have members who would be likely to buy what you’re selling.

The profits vary, but most sellers offer their list-owner partners a hefty cut–some as much as 60 percent of the profits with information products. This should be enough to get anyone interested in carrying ads or articls about a specific product in their communications to their list. The sellers are gaining beause they’re making sales where otherwise there wouldn’t have been sales, and the JV partners are making money with very little effort. As you can see it’s a win-win situation.

If you’re interested in learning more about finding JV partners, sign up to my list (Subcribe to Updates in the right-hand column) because we’re going to be talking about that in the next newsletter.

Now here’s an interesting concept.

But I strongly doubt that it would create a permanent fanclub. And, all joking aside, it must be terribly stressful trying to take on the world all the time. I’m not one to shirk my duty if something tricky needs to be said, but that’s different to spending your days actually looking for something to fight about. I think I’ll stick with trying to be pleasant to build a business. What do you think?

The biggest mistake most businesses make when considering their brand, is thinking of themselves as an isolated entity. No one is an isolated entity, and as far as your brand is concerned, being isolated is not even slightly desirable.

All businesses create their own community. That’s a given, and it happens whether we like it or not. If we’re careless, our community is going to consist of disgruntled customers and observers. If we get it right, we will be the lucky centerpiece of a vibrant community of admirers. This is, or should be, the ultimate goal of any business. Since your community will evolve anyway, it does make sense to do everything you can to make it to your advantage.

Always remember that the customer can always get what he wants. If he doesn’t get it from you, he’ll go somewhere else. Keeping customers happy is more important online than it is offline. If you have a store and you make someone mad, they might shout and upset people visiting your store at the time. If you make someone mad online, they could become a permanent fixture: every time you come up in a search, that person’s negative comments could be there too.

If you’re a One Man Show, it’s not so difficult to ensure that customers are always treated the way you’d want. But if you have employees, it gets a little more difficult. If you haven’t checked up on what your employees are doing lately, and how they treat clients, perhaps now is the time to think about it. You are quite within your rights to find out how your customers fair with your employees. In fact, you owe it to yourself to know. At the very least, get a friend or relative try out your system for you, and give you some honest feedback.

To get a really accurate picture, you may want to hire a special service that will check out your system for you. Or, you might want to send all your customers an email asking them for honest feedback. You might uncover facts that help you to build your brand to its fullest potential.

Are you using an autoresponder? If not, you really should be. Any serious Internet marketing career has to involve the use of mass-mailing, by its very nature. Just getting your name out there is a vital part of online marketing! So a reliable autoresponder should be on every marketer’s shopping list!

I’m embarassed to admit that I’ve tried a few free autoresponders recently. They were all a dismal failure. I’m now more convinced than ever that you get what you pay for! When it came to shelling out hard cash, I made sure to spend a lot of time reading up about what some of the top marketers are using. I came to Russel Brunson’s site, and I liked the guy! I like his manner and his attitude. He seems to be doing well, so I opted to use the same company he’s using (along with another Internet Marketing great, Yanik Silver).
So I finally signed up with Aweber yesterday. I’ve been frantically trying to get my system up-and-running. I don’t know yet how well it’s turning out, but I will say that the company seems to make it all as easy as it’s possible to get. Stay posted and I’ll let you know how it all turns out.

Oh, by the way, I’d really appreciate it if you’d go and check out my new forms and let me know what you think by commenting back here!
